The short version
We collect what you send us so we can answer you, quote your work, and build and ship your instrument. We don't run analytics or ad trackers on this site, we don't set tracking cookies, and we never sell or rent your information to anyone.
This policy covers artifactelectrics.com, run by Artifact Electrical Instrument Co. LLC (“Artifact Electrics,” “we,” “us”) in Omaha, Nebraska.
What we collect
When you fill out a form. Our contact form, project intake, and guitar configurator ask for your name, email, and phone number, along with details about your instrument or build: make and model, what it needs, specs you've chosen, and anything else you write in the message.
When you place an order. Checkout is handled by Stripe. If you choose Affirm or Klarna, that provider handles the financing. We receive your name, email, shipping address, and what you ordered. We never see or store your full card number.
When you call, text, or email. We keep the messages and details you send us.
When you visit. Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We don't use that information to track or profile you.
How we use it
To reply to you, prepare quotes, confirm your build spec, schedule drop-offs, build and ship instruments, return repaired instruments, send updates on work in progress, and keep the business and tax records the law requires. If you ask us to let you know when something new is available, we'll do that. We won't add you to a marketing list you didn't ask to be on.
Who we share it with
Only the services that make the work possible: Formspree, which delivers our web forms to our inbox; Stripe, plus Affirm or Klarna if you choose them, for payments; Cloudflare, which hosts the site; and shipping carriers, when we ship an instrument to you. Each of these handles your information under its own privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety. If the business is ever sold or reorganized, customer records would go with it under this same policy.
Links to other sites
We link to Instagram, X, and Google Maps. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn't cover.
How long we keep it
As long as we need it for your project and any follow-up work, and as long as tax and accounting rules require us to keep records. Inquiries that never turn into work are cleared out periodically.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email info@artifactelectrics.com and we'll take care of it. Some records, such as completed sales, may have to be kept for tax purposes, and we'll tell you if that applies.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us information, let us know and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date at the top.
